Current issue - PARIS ATTACKS

PARIS ATTACK  - ISLAMIC STATED BE ACCUSED

As we know, there are an issue about Paris had been attack and Islam be accused. What happened on the night?

Friday night's deadly attacks in Paris by gunmen and suicide bombers hit a concert hall, a major stadium, restaurants and bars, almost simultaneously and leaving at least 129 people dead and hundreds wounded. The attacks have been described by President Francois Hollande as an "act of war" organised by the Islamic State (IS) militant group.Shootings and bomb blasts left at least 129 people dead and hundreds wounded, with more than 100 in a critical condition."Three co-ordinated teams" appear to have been behind the attacks, according to Paris chief prosecutor Francois Molins.
French police have carried out more than 150 raids across the country, as the search for suspects continues. Raids have also taken place in the Belgian city of Brussels. This is how the attacks happened.

The first of three explosions occurred outside the Stade de France stadium on the northern fringe of Paris where France were playing Germany in an international football friendly.
A man wearing a suicide belt was reportedly prevented from entering the stadium after a routine security check detected the explosives. According to the Wall Street Journal, the man backed away from security guards and detonated the explosives.
The bomber and a passer-by were killed.
The game, attended by President Francois Hollande, was being broadcast on TV. After a second man detonated his suicide vest outside a different stadium entrance at 21:30, the president was rushed to safety.

A third suicide bomber blew himself at a fast-food outlet near the stadium at 21:53. The attackers all wore identical explosive vests.

A Belgian national currently in Syria and believed to be one of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria’s most active operators is suspected of being behind Friday’s attacks in Paris, according to a source close to the French investigation.“He appears to be the brains behind several planned attacks in Europe,” the source told Reuters of Abdelhamid Abaaoud, adding he was investigators’ best lead as the person likely behind the killing of at least 129 people in Paris on Friday.

According to RTL Radio, Abaaoud is a 27 year-old from the Molenbeek suburb of Brussels, home to other members of the militant Islamist cell that carried out the attacks.

In February of this year, ISIS’s online magazine Dabiq carried an interview with an Islamist bearing that name and boasting of having traveled through Europe unnoticed by security forces to organize attacks and procure weapons.Abaaoud was also named in various media last year as the elder brother of a 13-year-old boy who left Belgium to become a child-fighter in Syria.

From the case, an Islamic state is being accused of being behind the attack in Paris have worsened the reputation of Islam itself. Therefore, we as a Mulim hope that the mastermind behind the attacks in Paris were not among the Muslim or Islamic countries .

Budget for universities decrease in year 2015 - Malaysia

Budget 2015

As we know , there are an issue about the budget for universities decrease in this year than last year.
The government cut University Budget 2015 about RM1.046 billion ( 12.36% ) from RM9.146 billion in 2014 to RM8.1 billion in 2015.

Education is the best investment for a country's development . Why the higher education sector of the country had " robbed of their money ." Is this another fairly radical saving projects by the year 2015. ? Actually there are a few reasons why this happen and government took this way to reduce the budget for universities.

List of Public Universities University Deducted Budget 2015 .
  • Universiti Tun Hussein Onn ( UTHM ) - Cut 35.36 %
  • Universiti Malaysia Kelantan ( UMK ) - Cut 35.08 %
  • Universiti Teknologi Malaysia ( UTM ) - Cut 23.78 %
  • National University of Malaysia ( UKM ) - Cut 17:34 %
  • Universiti Malaysia Sarawak ( Cal Poly) - Cut 16:51 %
  • Universiti Sains Malaysia ( USM ) - Cut 13.88 %
  • Universiti Malaya ( UM ) - Cut 11.11%
  • International Islamic University Malaysia ( IIUM ) - Cut a 19.17%
  • Universiti Malaysia Perlis ( UNIMAP ) - Cut 13.62 %
  • Universiti Utara Malaysia ( UUM ) - Cut of 9.33%
  • Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia ( USIM ) - Cut 8:06 %
  • Universiti Teknologi Mara ( UiTM ) - Cut to 2.55%
Actually, the budget for education is not decreasing but there are a divided between two which is  school and IPTA budget. The government  decrease the budget for IPTA but they increase the budget for school education. The budget for school education increase about 1 billion is from IPTA budget. Before this, the school and IPTA budget are combined but now its separated.

LEGAL USE OF ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE / VAPOR

What are the legal of vapor or electronic cigarette?

ISSUE : The using of electronic cigarettes and vape or vapor is very prevalent among teenagers including girls with many reasons. One of the famous reasons is the electronic cigarette is a substitute product that can replace the real cigarettes for them to stop slowly by taking it. The reason seems like 'menghalalkan' the widespread of using the electronic cigarettes.

DEFINITION OF ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE :

Electronic Cigarette ( Electronic Nicotine Delivery System or e-cigarettes ) is an innovation of the conventional cigarettes into modern cigarettes. Nowadays, the electric cigarettes also know as vape or vapor.

THE EXPERT PEOPLE'S OPINION :

  • The amount of nicotine in the electronic cigarette is different depending on the statement written on the label. It can be between 6-8 mg per 1 ml of liquid (mg / ml) which is labeled at low concentrations. Some also contain 16-18 mg / ml (high concentration) or 24-36mg / ml (extra high concentration). But it must be known that if all 60 mg of nicotine is absorbed into the blood, it has the potential to kill an adult non-smokers. This is equivalent to 30-40 conventional cigarettes.
  • Evaluation Division of Pharmaceutical Scientists from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has tested 19 types of e-cigarettes that were manufactured by two producers (NJoy and Smoking Everywhere). They found that the 'tobacco-specific nitrosamines (TSNAs), which can cause cancer in both brands of e-cigarettes. Even the concentration of nicotine in e-cigarettes are not equal to the value written on the label. There is little nicotine in e-cigarettes is a "nicotine-free".
  • In September 2008, the World Health Organization has issued a statement: "There are no studies that demonstrate authentic e-cigarette is a safe and effective as nicotine replacement treatment. Therefore, the manufacturer must undertake in-depth studies to support their claim that e-cigarettes can be used to reduce smoking ".
  • According to a statement issued by the American Lung Association (ALA), the ALA declared their indignation towards the use of electronic cigarettes because earlier studies have found that electronic cigarettes not only contain nicotine but there are also other chemicals that are harmful such as carcinogens.
  •  In addition, the study also showed that electronic cigarettes that use a high voltage has the amount of formaldehyde is high. Formaldehyde is a chemical that is harmful to the human body.
  • The FDA (Food and Drug Administration), the US has carried out laboratory experiments on electronic cigarettes and in a sample ,, they have found a substance diethylene glycol, an ingredient used in anti-freeze process and it is very harmful to the human body.
  • According to Dr. Daniel Lee, Physicians and breathing at Prince Court Medical Centre, claims that the smoke emitted from cigarettes is the norm rather than of the liquid nicotine is totally wrong. In fact, electronic cigarettes have nicotine which can increase heart rate and hormonal outflow 'adrenalin' and moisturize the nervous system. In addition, nicotine also causes an unusual pulse, narrowing of heart vessels, increased blood pressure, heart attack, stroke and ulcers of the stomach and intestines.
  • Chief Medical Officer Cancer Screening Center National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), Dr. Dalilah Kamaruddin, when contacted, said the process of vaporization of the liquid nicotine which is produced by electronic cigarettes, will be sucked in by the user, and vapor of nicotine has the same properties of nitric acid. He added nitric acid is a chemical catalyst to the occurrence of cancer in the human body. In addition, the liquid nicotine, although the dosage slightly, feared and absorbency to the blood vessels will change the content in the body as efficiently than nicotine, a liquid that also contain glycerin.
  • President of the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), Dr. Ashok Philip Zachariah also argued that the electronic cigarette could bring harm to users. He added that most of the chemicals contained in cigarette smoke kenvesional also available in electronic cigarettes even lower levels. He is also the association urged the Ministry of Health is considering to ban the use of electronic cigarettes look to the harm which will occur.
  • Cardiac Surgeon and Lung Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (PPUKM), Dr. Khairulfaizi Haron said that although the percentage of users vape the disease is too low, they must be vigilant and cautious. He also stressed that the alleged use of electronic cigarettes are safer than tobacco is not true.
  • Deputy Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Helmi Yahya said in a statement that in the electronic cigarettes are nicotine and propylene glycol, and when heated (in the liquid) exceeds five volts, the liquid is a combination of nature such as preservatives. Preservatives that increases the likelihood of cancer in the body.

HUKUM

Based on the above facts and also stated 'nas' so  the use of electronic cigarettes are PROHIBITED ( HARAM). This is because as the 'illahkan' or specify the reasons for the law applicable to the issue of smoking electronic cigarettes and the reasons including:

  • Qiyas to real cigarettes.
  • The fact experts suggest it could be hurt even more harm than smoking itself. This is considered a very strong foundation for mafsadah indisputable and harm has been recognized by experts and authoritative bodies.
  • Wastage that occurs either on the device itself and vape liquid material that is sipping. The price of such a device costs about hundreds of ringgit and it can reach up to thousands of ringgit.
  • Mimicking a non-Muslim culture.
  • Viewed dishonorable.
  • Sad al-Zari'ah (closing the road to damage). The polices are intensifying the review and investigation of the detected locations of its own blending flavors try marijuana and density to meet the demand of some users of electronic cigarettes. Reports from authorities also indicated that the use of synthetic drugs among young people is on the rise and this will be worse if the use of electronic cigarettes are also drugs elements in it. Preventive measures should be done so that these problems do not fester among Malaysians especially for adolescents.

The National Fatwa Council has also banned the use of electronic cigarettes through his fatwa. Its chairman, Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dr. Abd. Shukor Husin said the decision was decided by applying the law to smoke shisha, which had been ruled previously. He added that, if the findings of the first is quite dangerous, it's both wasteful and harmful to the party in terms of health, but when these same recommendations, then we say it is HARAM.

FATWA  ULAMA & OPINION OF ISLAM SCHOLAR

They said same law as the law of regular cigarettes. Thus, it is HARAM  .

  • Sheikh Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid in his response to the issue of the use of electronic cigarettes Electronic cigarettes say that the law is the same as traditional cigarettes illegally.
  • There was no benefit for those who want to try to abandon the practice of smoking cigarettes switch from traditional cigarettes to electronic cigarettes because the harm is also the same as regular cigarettes based on the reports of experts .

Sheikh Uthman al-Khamis also argued that electronic cigarettes are illegal because they harm. Each of harm, then Islam will reject in advance in order to maintain maslahah all people. - S.S. Datuk Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri (Mufti Wilayah Persekutuan).

CONLUSION

In this issue, the public also believes that it is one way to help smokers to stop smoking. Therefore, they use electronic cigarettes as an alternative to quitting smoking. Actually this is a distorted notion of fundamental because it said there was also a native of nicotine substance that can cause addiction and harm to human health. The money that use to buy cigarettes or vapor, it even better if they put the money to a tube mosque, sympathize orphans, feed the poor and help their needs. May Allah grant us success and given us guidance and good health.

More than RM200 million spent so far on search for MH370

As we know, tragedy missing Malaysian airliner  MH370 has passed 13 months ago. Our government still responsibility in searching the MH370 until today and more than RM200 million spent so far on search for MH370. We are glad to hear that our government  is willing to spend millions of ringgit to continue the search MH370, maybe some people do not mind about this mission in searching MH370, but who know if the families of passenger  MH370 are hopefully that this finding mission to the end.

The government has spent RM231.4 million to date on the search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370. Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the ministry, however, is unable to record the total cost for the search operation, as search operations are ongoing. As for MH17, the government has spent RM12.87 million to deal with the tragedy.

Based on the Montreal Convention 1999’s calculations. Malaysia Airlines had provided advance compensation payments and a crew assistance package totalling USD50,000 to family members as part of the compensation. At present, 236 and 74 families of the passengers of MH17 and MH370, respectively, received the compensation, which amounts to USD16.6 million. On July 17 last year, Flight MH17, enroute to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam, was shot down over Ukrainian skies, killing all 283 passengers and 15 crew members on board. MH370 disappeared on March 8 last year after departing from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Rising of living cost

Accept the fact of rising the living cost because of global problem

As we know, the situation of global economy nowadays was in critical situation so it will effect all the economic activities.

For example situation :

  • At work, spending for lunch only about 10 ringgit is not enough.
  • Parents spending money for their children are no longer enough if you just two ringgit or three ringgit but at least five ringgit per person.
  • University students face problem in spending their daily life.
But, as the rising of living cost, some people does not care how to manage their money. They spend money without think whether the spending gives benefit or not for themselves. For example, the smoker, they even try to stop from smoking even they know the expensive of cigarette and the danger for their healthy.  If a pack a day smoker spends - 30 boxes per month. With the increasing price about 3.20 ringgit per box, it means they have to spend an additional 320 ringgit a month.

When talking about the rising cost of living, commonly it point to  government. The government is accused of being the cause when reducing or stopping subsidies for goods or services that before have the low price because of subsidized price. In fact, some are said to be the cause of oil price hikes and other services. It also can not be denied, but there are times when we have to be realistic. We as a citizen should not blame our government for the rising living cost, we should learn to be more realistic by looking forward and look the overall factors of this crisis. Our country economy is influenced by the global economy, therefore as a citizen we can not just sitting and complain without do something benefit for our country.
