More than RM200 million spent so far on search for MH370

As we know, tragedy missing Malaysian airliner  MH370 has passed 13 months ago. Our government still responsibility in searching the MH370 until today and more than RM200 million spent so far on search for MH370. We are glad to hear that our government  is willing to spend millions of ringgit to continue the search MH370, maybe some people do not mind about this mission in searching MH370, but who know if the families of passenger  MH370 are hopefully that this finding mission to the end.

The government has spent RM231.4 million to date on the search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370. Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the ministry, however, is unable to record the total cost for the search operation, as search operations are ongoing. As for MH17, the government has spent RM12.87 million to deal with the tragedy.

Based on the Montreal Convention 1999’s calculations. Malaysia Airlines had provided advance compensation payments and a crew assistance package totalling USD50,000 to family members as part of the compensation. At present, 236 and 74 families of the passengers of MH17 and MH370, respectively, received the compensation, which amounts to USD16.6 million. On July 17 last year, Flight MH17, enroute to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam, was shot down over Ukrainian skies, killing all 283 passengers and 15 crew members on board. MH370 disappeared on March 8 last year after departing from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

As a conclusion, we hope that the government is continue the searching of MH370 if needed and all the families of passenger MH370  can accept destiny written for the loss of their family members. - PRAY FOR MH370.

Rising of living cost

Accept the fact of rising the living cost because of global problem

As we know, the situation of global economy nowadays was in critical situation so it will effect all the economic activities.

For example situation :

  • At work, spending for lunch only about 10 ringgit is not enough.
  • Parents spending money for their children are no longer enough if you just two ringgit or three ringgit but at least five ringgit per person.
  • University students face problem in spending their daily life.
But, as the rising of living cost, some people does not care how to manage their money. They spend money without think whether the spending gives benefit or not for themselves. For example, the smoker, they even try to stop from smoking even they know the expensive of cigarette and the danger for their healthy.  If a pack a day smoker spends - 30 boxes per month. With the increasing price about 3.20 ringgit per box, it means they have to spend an additional 320 ringgit a month.

When talking about the rising cost of living, commonly it point to  government. The government is accused of being the cause when reducing or stopping subsidies for goods or services that before have the low price because of subsidized price. In fact, some are said to be the cause of oil price hikes and other services. It also can not be denied, but there are times when we have to be realistic. We as a citizen should not blame our government for the rising living cost, we should learn to be more realistic by looking forward and look the overall factors of this crisis. Our country economy is influenced by the global economy, therefore as a citizen we can not just sitting and complain without do something benefit for our country.

Haze is a phenomenon caused by the existence of many small particles that are invisible to the naked eye and float in the air. These particles may be derived naturally or side effects of human activities.
Nowadays, more areas record unhealthy air pollution index  (API) readings. -11 September 2015

Worst hit by the haze - due mainly to the forest fires in South Sumatra and Kalimantan - is Samarahan with an API reading of 182 followed by Sri Aman (177) and Kuching (163).

  • In Selangor, Port Klang, Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya and Banting recorded API readings between 112 to 116
  • Batu Muda and Putrajaya also recorded unhealthy air levels at 120 and 108 respectively.
Port Dickson, Seremban and Nilai di Negeri Sembilan registered 107, 127 dan 138,
  • while Bandaraya Melaka and Bukit Rambai, was at 104 and 115
  • Meanwhile in Pasir Gudang and Larkin Lama, the API reading was at 113 and 107 respectively.

An API reading of between 0 and 50 is categorised as good, while 51 to 100 is moderate; 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and 300 and above (hazardous). http://www.astroawani.com/)
